Version: 1.0

---

**Core Elements:**
- Freeze Tag
- Basketball

**Objective:**
Teams play basketball while navigating the freeze-tag mechanic. Scoring becomes more difficult as players are frozen, requiring clever teamwork and timed rescues.

---

**Teams & Players:**
- 2 teams of 5 players.
- Roles: Open (free-form, rotate roles based on play).
- Game is played in 4 quarters, 5 minutes each.

---

**Field Layout:**
- Standard half-court basketball setup.
- “Safe Zones” marked outside the arc on both ends (players standing here cannot be frozen).
- Center circle is designated as the “Unfreeze Ring.”

---

**Gameplay Cycle:**
1. Teams begin like a regular basketball game.
2. A player may be tagged (light hand tap) by a defender. Once tagged, they must freeze (stand still) and may not dribble, pass, or move.
3. Frozen players can be unfrozen by a teammate touching them while standing in the Unfreeze Ring.
4. Points are scored through normal basketball shooting into the hoop.
5. Frozen defenders may still block but cannot move their feet.

---

**Scoring:**
- Regular basket = 2 points
- 3-point shot = 3 points
- Successfully unfreezing 2 or more players in a play = 1 bonus point

---

**Twist / Chaos Element:**
- “Full Freeze”: At any time, a whistle may signal a 15-second freeze period where all players must stop except the ball handler.
- “Switch Freeze”: At halftime, teams must switch who can freeze whom (e.g., offense freezes defense instead of the other way around).

---

**Safety Notes:**
- No physical tackles — only hand tap to freeze.
- No crowding around the Unfreeze Ring (3-player max inside).

---

**Setup Time:** 10 minutes
**Play Time:** ~25 minutes
